Onboarding

Why does it say my Email/Phone Number is already taken?

Flakex would give this error message if it is associated with another account. If this is false or if you don’t recall creating another account, please contact us immediately so we can help remedy the issue.

Why does my account require a profile picture?

We use this to identify and protect our users from potential catfishing situations.

Why do you need my current location?

We use your current location to connect you with users in your area. Don’t worry, other users won't be able to see your location, only that you are within the distance parameters set for the event that they created.

Why is it recommended that notifications are enabled?

Enabling location allows you to stay in the loop about upcoming events, incoming messages, game invites, and more!

Home

How do I add and/or delete activities from my favorites?

Under your profile picture (home screen), you will see a plus and minus button. Clicking on these will open a popup, enabling you to add and delete activities from your account.

Creating an Event

How do I create an event?

You can either click the “Create an Event” button or click on the activity that you wish to create the event for as a shortcut. If you click the “Create an Event” button, you will need to select a date, time, location and invite other users. You can invite other users by adding them from your contacts or swiping up to invite.

How do I adjust the distance range from the event?

The vertical slider on the left hand side of the map allows you to adjust the distance of the Flakex radar.

How can I filter the criteria of the results when inviting players?

On the invite/skip screen, a filter icon will appear next to the search bar. This tool will help filter players by age, distance, and Flakex percentage.

How can I edit the details of an event I created?

There are several ways that you can do this.

  • In the calendar: select the purple event (the event you are hosting) and then select the pencil icon to make the changes you’d like. Once the changes are saved, the people who have been invited will be notified of the changes. Those who accepted will be asked to accept again.
  • Under the “Around Me” screen: locate your event on the map and repeat the above instructions.
  • In messenger: click on the chat for the event that you are hosting and edit the details, which can be found in the top right corner.

How can I invite more people to an event that I am hosting once it's been created?

There are several ways that you can do this.

  • In your calendar: select the purple event and click the “Add People” icon.
  • In “Around me”: click “Add People”.
  • In Messenger: click on the top right icon of the group chat and make any necessary changes.

Contacts

How do I add a fellow Flakex user to my contacts?

In the contacts tab (far left of the navigation bar), there is a plus icon on the top right above the search bar. Click on this icon to find friends by searching for profiles, then selecting “Add Friend).

How do I see my pending friend requests?

On the other side of the “Find Friends” Icon, there will be a “Friend Requests” Icon, where you can toggle between incoming friend requests and previously sent requests.

How do I see my sent friend requests?

On the other side of the “Find Friends” Icon, there will be a “Friend Requests” Icon, where you can toggle between incoming friend requests and previously sent requests.

How do I filter my contacts based on activity?

To filter contacts by activity, select the activity under the search bar and the contacts will be filtered accordingly.

Calendar

What do the different colors in my calendar represent?

The button on the top right corner of the calendar has a breakdown of what each color represents.

  • Purple: Events You Are Hosting
  • Green: Events Confirmed
  • Orange: Events Pending Confirmation
  • Red: Events Not Accepted/Canceled

Settings

Where can I find my payment info?

You can find and edit your payment info under Payment Info in settings.

How do I change my profile picture?

You can change your profile picture by going into Settings and selecting Account. From there you will see a Change Pic button floating above your profile picture. Select that to change your image.

How can I edit my phone number/email?

You can change your profile picture by going into Settings and selecting Account. From there you will select the Edit button next to personal info.

How can I activate/deactivate my Push Notifications?

You can change your profile picture by going into Settings and selecting Account. Scroll to the bottom where you see Push Notifications and you can toggle them ON/OFF.

How do I change my password?

You can change your profile picture by going into Settings and selecting Account. Under the Security section, select Change Password and you will be prompted to enter your Current Password, New Password and Confirm New Password.

How do I get in contact if I have a question?

You can either go to the website(hyperlink) or in the Settings of the app there is a contact us option. We will be more than happy to hear from you!

Messenger

How do I put a chat on do not disturb mode?

In Messenger you can click on the particular chat that you would like to silence. On the top right corner you will see an icon; select it and then toggle the Do not Disturb to ON.

General Inquiries

How long do I have before I am considered a no-show to an event?

30 minutes. If you check-in after this time you will be considered a no-show and it will affect your flake percentage accordingly.

How will I know when a host accepts my request to join an event?

You will receive both a notification (if you have notifications enabled) and it will appear on your calendar.

How can I see the cancelation policy of my trainer/instructor/coach?

Before inviting them to train/instruct/coach you there is a button to view their cancellation policy. You can also view your past trainers in the trainer icon and view their cancellation policy from there.

How do I request a refund?

While leaving them a review there will be an option here to request a refund and submit a reason as to why. This will need to be reviewed and Flakex will mediate before releasing any funds to either party. You have one week from the time of the session to make this request.

How do I report someone?

You can click on their profile and flag them. It will prompt you with a reason as to why you are reporting them with an option for comments. We will review the comments and take the necessary actions.

What are the service fees?

The service fees are for covering our server/transaction/and other overhead costs to operate the app effectively. These charges are typically non-refundable.
